Tiko

About This Bird

Tiko is a Goffin’s Cockatoo who is approximately 25 to 30 years old.  Tiko was very much loved in her previous home but came to us when her caregiver could no longer look after her.  Tiko has had feather destructive behavior for most of her life and this likely will not change.

That being said, the lack of feathers does not slow this little girl down at all, like most Goffin’s, she is sassy, spunky and wants to be involved in everything that you are doing.  She is very popular with our volunteers and is much loved.

Tiko does need to be protected from falling because with no wing feathers, she has absolutely no way to stop herself from falling.  It appears that at some point in her life, her keel bone was broken, likely due to a  fall.

A home for Tiko would be ADULTS only with no other pets.  She would not do well in a busy home with other animals or children.
