About This Bird
Cesar is a female Blue and Gold Macaw who was rescued in 2016 from the World Parrot Refuge. She, like many parrots, has strong preferences for certain people and she usually decides immediately whether she likes you or not. After being with us for so long however, we’ve found her start to warm up to even those volunteers she initially wasn’t so fond of. Many of the other macaws are quite drawn to her and while she doesn’t necessarily dislike them, Cesar seems to only really want the attention of her favourite humans and not her fellow birds. She has some heart troubles and requires daily medication to help treat it, but she has been managing it well and has been quite stable.
